This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs your use of eConsent’s services and is incorporated into our Terms of Service. Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account.
Permitted Use
eConsent is designed for lawful consent verification and TCPA compliance documentation. You may use the Services to:
- Record consumer interactions on your web forms for consent documentation
- Generate consent certificates from session recordings and Meta Lead Ad forms
- Verify and retrieve consent certificates through our APIs
- Configure webhooks to integrate consent events with your business systems
- Manage consent records and revocation requests
Prohibited Activities
You may not use the Services to:
Fraud and Misrepresentation
- Generate consent records for interactions that did not occur
- Alter, forge, or misrepresent the contents of consent certificates
- Submit synthetic, automated, or bot-generated form submissions to create fraudulent consent records
- Use the Services to manufacture evidence of consent that was not actually obtained
- Misrepresent the nature of eConsent’s services to consumers or regulatory bodies
Unlawful Data Collection
- Collect consumer data without appropriate legal basis or disclosure
- Implement eConsent’s recording technology without disclosing its use in your privacy policy
- Record sessions on pages where recording is prohibited by law or regulation
- Use the Services to collect data from children under 13 without verified parental consent
System Abuse
- Attempt to access another customer’s data, accounts, or certificates
- Interfere with or disrupt the Services, servers, or networks
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Services
- Circumvent rate limits, access controls, or security mechanisms
- Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Services in bulk
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the Services without written authorization
Harmful Content
- Use the Services in connection with content that is defamatory, threatening, harassing, or obscene
- Use the Services to facilitate spam, phishing, or malware distribution
- Upload files containing viruses, malicious code, or other harmful components
Your Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and current account information
- Secure your account credentials and API keys
- Promptly report any suspected unauthorized access or security incidents
- Ensure your forms and consent language comply with applicable laws
- Disclose the use of session recording technology in your privacy policy
- Configure field masking appropriately for sensitive data
- Respond to consumer data access and deletion requests in accordance with applicable law
Monitoring and Enforcement
eConsent reserves the right to monitor usage of the Services for compliance with this AUP. We may, at our sole discretion:
- Investigate suspected violations
- Suspend or restrict access to the Services pending investigation
- Terminate accounts that violate this AUP
- Report illegal activity to appropriate law enforcement authorities
- Remove or disable access to content that violates this AUP
We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before taking enforcement action, except where immediate action is necessary to protect the Services or other users.

If you become aware of a violation of this AUP, please report it to support@econsent.org.
