Frequently Asked Questions

What is eConsent?

eConsent is a TCPA consent management platform that captures, certifies, and verifies consumer consent in real time. When a consumer provides consent on your website or landing page, eConsent generates a tamper-proof certificate with a full session replay as proof of consent.

How does eConsent help with TCPA compliance?

The Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) requires businesses to obtain prior express written consent before making certain calls or sending texts. eConsent provides documented proof of that consent, including what the consumer saw, when they consented, and a complete recording of their session. Each certificate is hashed with SHA-256 and stored with S3 Object Lock in COMPLIANCE mode, ensuring the record cannot be altered or deleted.

A consent certificate is a tamper-proof record generated by eConsent each time a consumer provides consent. It includes:

  • Timestamp of the consent event
  • Consumer’s IP address and device information
  • The exact consent language displayed at the time of submission
  • A full session replay of the consumer’s interaction
  • A unique, shareable certificate URL
  • A SHA-256 hash for tamper-proof verification

How long are certificates stored?

Certificates are retained for up to 7 years using S3 Object Lock in COMPLIANCE mode. This ensures records are immutable and cannot be deleted, even by eConsent, for the duration of the retention period. You can configure your retention duration in your account settings.

Does eConsent slow down my website?

No. The eConsent tracking script is lightweight and loads asynchronously. It does not block page rendering or impact your site’s performance.

What data does eConsent collect?

eConsent captures session replay data, form submission events, IP addresses, device information, and the consent language displayed on the page. We do not collect sensitive financial information such as credit card numbers or Social Security numbers.

Can I integrate eConsent with my existing systems?

Yes. eConsent provides a REST API for verifying certificates and retrieving consent data. You can also configure webhooks to receive real-time notifications when new certificates are generated. eConsent integrates with Meta Lead Ads for capturing consent from lead forms, and supports a verification dossier that combines OTP, identity verification, and fraud detection signals. See our API Documentation for details.

What pricing plans are available?

eConsent offers four plans:

PlanMonthly CostIncluded Retentions
Starter$199/mo1,000
Growth$750/mo10,000
Enterprise$1,500/mo50,000
High VolumeCustom50,000+

All plans include session replay, certificate generation, and API access. No long-term contracts — cancel anytime.

How is eConsent different from TrustedForm or Jornaya?

eConsent is built from the ground up on modern infrastructure using Rust for performance and reliability. Key differences include:

  • Real-time session recording — full screen recordings captured at the edge, not reconstructed from DOM snapshots after the fact
  • Verification dossier — combine consent proof with OTP verification, identity checks, and fraud scoring in a single platform
  • Transparent, wallet-based pricing — no long-term contracts, no hidden fees, and pay-as-you-go for integrations
  • SHA-256 tamper-proof certificates — every certificate is cryptographically hashed and stored with S3 Object Lock COMPLIANCE mode for up to 7 years
  • Developer-friendly API — simple REST API with webhook support and HMAC-SHA256 signed payloads
